We will transfer you from the airport to a charming hotel in the city of Malaga. After checking in, we’ll have welcome drinks at the hotel and then find a local bar or restaurant for some Tapas.

Sunday


After breakfast, we’ll leave Malaga and head towards the city of Jerez de la Frontera. En route, we will visit a cattle farm and travel around in a 4×4 seeing the intricacies and history of cattle farming in Spain.
After the visit, we will find a spot for lunch and then carry on to Jerez for a quick guided tour of the city.
We’ll check into the hotel after this and have the evening at leisure.

Monday


After breakfast we will travel towards the province of Seville.

We’ll board a barge across the River Guadalquivir so that we can get to one of Andalucia’s most beautiful National Parks, La Doñana, which is known for its wetlands, migrating birds, pine forests and sand dunes.
Following this 2-3 hour visit to La Doñana, we’ll go to a a specialist local sherry distillery. After a quick tour around the distillery (and tastings!) we’ll have lunch. We can then continue our journey to tonight’s extraordinary accommodation.

Tuesday


Get your cameras ready and be prepared to be amazed. Today will be a busy day.
We will travel to Aracena, one of Andalucia’s beautiful white villages.

We will visit the Gruta de la Maravillas, a cave divided into three levels 1200m underground, below a castle. The walkways take you through some jaw dropping limestone marvels which are quite simply spectacular. After the tour of the caves, we will find a local spot for lunch.
This afternoon will be spent going along the aptly named Rio Tinto (the Red River). Our guide will show us the biochemical peculiarities in the earth that will help us understand why NASA studies the area due to its similarities to Mars. This is a great spot to play around with your camera settings!
We’ll finish the day with a tipple by visiting a famous local Brandy distillery, Luis Felipe.

Wednesday


This morning we’ll go to visit the natural monument “Cerro del Hierro” (The Iron Hill). We’ll be greeted by our guide who will give a two and a half our tour of this spectacular natural structure which was an old iron mine which has been in use since the Roman times.

Following this, we’ll go to a pig farm from where the famous cerdo iberico (iberico ham) comes from before returning to the hotel.

Thursday


After a relaxed, later breakfast, we’ll start making our way back to Malaga. We’ll stop off for lunch en route in the beautiful town of Ronda where you’ll have a little time to explore the place at your leisure.

We will then return to Malaga for our final evening.

You’ll have breakfast and we’ll arrange for you to be transferred to the airport in time for your flights back to the UK.
